One of my favorite places to go is Carmel Valley located in Carmel, CA. besides going to have dinner in Clint Eastwood's Restaurant - The Mission Ranch Restaurant. Carmel Valley has a very unique shopping mall called the Barn Yard. When you walk into the Barn Yard, you see an exceptional landscape displaying a variety of flowers. It is very nicely maintained landscape and very beautifully designed. I don't know whether it is because the weather is so suitable for growing or that the flowers are uniquely carmel, regardless, it is stunningly beautiful even in the cold weather in February.
Shopping is good too, the Barn Yard has a variety of boutique shops and restaurants.
