Hau Tree

Another view of the Hau Tree
The Famous Hau Tree Restaurant is a historic site in Hawaii dated back to the period of the Hawaiian King.

The tree is very large and the span covers most of the restaurant. That is why the restaurant is call the Hau Tree Restaurant.

The Pirie Mango is the most delicious of the mangoes in Hawaii and yet not too popular with the Hawaiians. They are not sold anywhere and if one can find them in the market, they are usually found in the Chinese groceries.

Strawbery Quava Tree

Strawberry Quava (Psidium cattleianum)
The fruits are red and  very small - about 1.5" but very juicy and has strawberry taste, thus the name.
The Strawberry quava tree is very hardy and grows throughout in Florida, Hawaii and California. Likes full sun. It will also grow and bear fruits in a container if protected from freezing. The tree needs a lot of water when the fruits comes out.
